Can you make a 2D creo drawing and detatch it from the model?

I need to either prove or disprove my belief.

My boss thinks there is a way in Creo (ProE) to make an existing 2D model based drawing independent of the model essentially making it a detached drawing if that makes any sense.

Then in his mind you can then stretch the 2D stuff as you would in say Autocad. I told him that it is impossible. I am only trying to make a point to him. There is no such thing right?

Thanks.

you can use 'convert to draft group', then remove entities from draft group. You will then be able to move individual entities

To freeze the design in time just make a pdf at each revision. That is the primary way my company keeps the legacy data.
If you are making major changes it is probably time to make a copy and a new part number.
