autonumbering of proe/creo files?

Hi,

I'm looking for a (preferably free) solution for automatic numbering of my part, assemblies & drawings i.e. when creating new Proe/creo files give next free number from a sequence and use that number as filename & part_number.

This is what I use with Inventor, a similar add-in would be really nice for Proe/Creo too:

Yes, thanks for that information, but that is hardly a free solution.
Any other options, to be used without windchill?

ProE does this by default, PRT0000#.prt, PRT00123.prt etc.
Lets say you've been using a list to store the latest #. You can rename and save after the fact but keep only the latest un-renamed PRT#####.prt so the next number will be incremented above the last prt#
