Assembly/Installation Drawing Best Practice

NC12

New member
Can anyone recommend a best practice on how to capture background in a drawing? Please also mention the goods and bads of your method.

Example of capturing background:

Let's say you have a bracket sub assembly consisting of 10 parts (this is your BOM), and let's say the bracket sub assembly p/n = 1234. 1234 is installed to an assembly, say 5678, which consists of 1000 parts.
Do you 1) include 5678 in 1234 so when opening the drawing you see the background?
2) not include 5678 in 1234? In this case, how do you capture background for the assembly floor people?
3) use Simplified Rep? How? At what level?

Or is there a better method to the above? Thanks in advance.
