If you close the first window (the base window), the object that was in that window goes away but the window persists and you get the little message "Base window can not be closed". That has been the same for a long time. However, in WF4, you could activate the base window and then do file open and other actions in it. In Crapo2, i see no way to do anything in the base window. This is so stupid. Why can't I do a file open? I have to switch to another window, do a file open which then opens in the base window. Like so many things in Crapo2, what was once a single click has become many more mouse clicks along with the hunt for the itsy bitsy pulldown to get to what I want.
