Boundary surface question....

Bwts

Hi,

I keep getting the unbelievably annoyin "Rebuild failed, overlapping surface" error. I have gone through the previewed surface with a fine toothcomb but for the life of me cannot see the overlappin geometry anywhere.

Is ther an option to just cut and merge overlapping sections?

You might want to try adding connectors to smooth out the flow, right-click anywhere on an edge of your boundary surface (while editing the feature) and choose to add a connector. You want to drag the balls around so they connect logically, and aren't skewed.

A cut and merge, well sometimes it does, it'll split the surface up for you. But usually this requires the original model have split edges there to start with. Maybe that's what you need though, don't make one surface do too much work. It's like every surface is a person, give them enough to do but don't overload them! They'll burn out!!
