ProEngineer to SolidWorks transition

We are investigating moving from ProEngineer and Intralink to SolidWorks and Workgroup. Has anyone made this kind of move before and if so willing to share what they have learned.

I have made software changes before and it is never easy, but hopefully with enough up-front work I can minimize the pain.

thanks in advance.

What version of Pro/E are you using? SolidWorks has the ability to nearly directly pull in older versions (perhaps newer as well) of Pro/Es with ease. The hardest part will be moving from one PDM to another. History will likely be neglected in the transfer of files.
