User can’t make multiple picks in Pro/E

Calling all Pro/E gurus

I have a user (and only one) who has an intermittent problem with multiple selections in Wildfire 5.0. It

Hi dross

I'm 99.several% sure it's not mouse-related because, when it happens, the user can click on stuff, just not Ctrl-click

May be a keyboard issue. Is he using a wireless keyboard?

Also, be sure he is not stuck in an edit mode from another feature. This will also prevent you from selecting other features.

Other possibilities, Graphic card or driver issue or memory issue.

Hi srieger. It's an ordinary USB Microsoft board.

The graphics card is a likelier suspect, I think. We had problems with screen flicker when the machine was delivered - that's why we downgraded the O/S to XP.

It's definitely not the mouse or keyboard. I've swapped them both out during an "attack" and the symptoms persisted.

I've also updated his video card driver but he's still having the same problem.

When it happens, and he single-clicks in the model tree, the components don't highlight in the graphics window. They do in the tree itself, but not in the graphics window.

Turn off display highlighing and that should fix the issue if
display related. I know there is a maximum number of items
that ProE can highlight and have seen errors with Layers
not being able to highlight members if there are too many
items.

You can also use One by One selection method so you don't
need to worry about the CTRL key.
