PC Spec for creo 1. help!

Hi all,

Just started using creo 1, have spent last ten yrs+ on
solidworks. Im upgrading my pc to a higher spec and
looking for advice on what to do.
Current spec:
OS- windows 7 ultim. 64bit
Processor - intel core i7 4GHz
Main drive (programs) - 125 GB SSD
Storeage drive - sata 7200rpm 1TB
Graphics - ATI firepro V8800 fireGL
Ram - 6GB

When originally building it 2 yrs ago I put the money
into the graphics card instead of RAM.
Now would I need more RAM for large assemblies or bigger
SSD? or both?

Is this card suited to creo? Iv tried looking online but
it only links to specific manufacturer built machines,
mines home built to save cost.

Thanks for any input;)

if you have a vison for comming 5 years to scale your investment plz try below spec:
1.your processor is ok
2.Use professional graphics cards like quadro3000/4000-nvidia or ati(Currently you are using gaming graphics which is not useful for professional work)
3.Increase your RAM to atleat 8gb to 16gb /I think your motherboard will support
Now every applications like SW/CREO will be buttersooth while working.
4.Very very important point for you-Use Windows professional-Win7 as this platform is for professional applications like SW/CREO/CATIA etc and you will notice much difference while working
