Cosmetic thread

Hello,

I have try to create the cosmetic internal thread as well
as external internal thread.
I follow the procedure=

1)Inset>2)Cosmetic>3)thread>4)define thread
suface>5)define start surface>6)define direction>7)define
thread length>8)define major diameter>9)define mod
parameter>10)In mod parameter,I define thread per inch
and define major diamter.

I am confuse with step 8 with step 10(define major
diameter). For example if I need to create an internal
thread with root diameter of 25 mm and major diameter of
28 mm. I should key in 28 mm into step 8 and 25 mm into
step 10(define major diamter)?

What if i need to create an external thread with root
diameter of 25 mm and major diameter of 28 mm? Should I
key in 25 mm into step 8 and 28 mm into step 10(define
major diameter)?

In step 10(define thread per inch).I wonder if need to
key in the pitch value into thread per inch column? Or
need to use 1/pitch to calculate thread per inch and then
key into thread per inch column?

What if the unit used in the modelling is in mm, can I
change thread per inch into metric?

Thank you.
