Help with new device

I have a device that connects to a microphone jack using
two wires.(I think it's the ground and mic) I would like
to know if there is something I can replace the audio jack
with that would be able to receive the audio and store it.
(Perhaps even create a separate file for each piece of
audio, after each pause.) Can someone please let me know
if there is such a thing? Thanks for the help!!

You've got the wrong forum, unless I missed the part where you are trying to embed audio into your ProE models.

But in the spirit of service, you came for help so I'll try to help. I ran across this that might get you somewhere: http://it.usu.edu/plugins/work/sitemaps/107/files/Recording% 20audio%20from%20your%20computer.pdf

I apologize for posting on the wrong forum, and the link
was very helpful thank you. However, I was hoping to find
out if there is a way to do this not on a computer but on a
separate device that will perform only the action of
receiving and storing the audio and nothing else. And I
was trying to do it in such a way where the audio jack
itself is replaced with this device. (smaller size if
possible) I thought there might be some type of hardware
(microchip or something) that could perform this task.
Once again sorry for posting in the wrong forum but I would
appreciate any help I can get. Thanks
