Delete all versions

Has the behavior of this command changed? We are using WF4, changed from
WF2 a few months ago (no PDM).I just had a user delete a
drawing using File/Delete/All Versions. It comes up with a message that
it is going to delete all versions of the drawing AND THE SELECTED
ASSOCIATED OBJECT(S) from disk and session with a Yes / No option. It
does not give a list or highlight what the SELECTED ASSOCIATED OBJECT(S)
may be.It turns out that picking yes deleted the drawing, it's models
and the drawing format.

Now I would expect it to delete the
drawing.I can see it deleting the model but I would at least expect it
to list all the models but I didn't expect it to delete the drawing
format.I don't think it used to delete the format, I have no idea why
you would want to do that.

How can you delete all instances of a
drawing and keep the model and or format through the Pro/E commands?I
never delete all through Pro/E, I use Windoze explorer instead.Still
seems like a bad command structure for delete all to delete anything but
the active object.

I use WF4, it always shows the other objects and gives you the option to choose which to delete. Maybe you have a hidden dialog box?

Agreed on the format, what were they thinking??

I don't understand the Delete All function. I made that mistake once. I stay away from the command altogether. I also do not see any dialogue box indicating which objects are going to be deleted. The only times any dialogue box comes up is when I delete/suppress a component with children in the model tree, or when I erase objects in session, but in the latter I don't have an option to select which objects.

Conversely, I wish I could save only the active object instead of everything in an assembly. I've played with the save_objects config option but I still end up with folders with hundreds of instances of each part/component (I save often out of fear). Instead, I'm reduced to playing with folder write persmissions and frequent use of the Delete Old Versions function.

This is all I see:

There is no list or highlighting of components, etc.

I stand corrected, the dialog box only pops up on "Erase not displayed" (what I usually use)

Deleting all versions is not something I do often...
