IGES surface to solid

I am using the pro/e wf 4


i have the flow meter asm. in the IGES format


my problem is that the file is having surfaces

so i need to convert it in solid..


anybody know how to deal with this in pro e 4...

you need to use Data Doctor to "sew" up all the holes in the quilt before you can make it solid. Use the help option in proe for info on Data Doctor.
 
IF..... your part got holes in it, then you, like krow72 and MGortner says, need to stitch it back together. And yes , IDD is one way to do it. You could probably use regular surfacing to cover the holes too.


If your part dont have any holes in it, and just isa surface modell, then "solidify" is a good way to go.


How much experience with surfacing do you have, and could you upload a pic of the modell so we can se the surfacemodel?
