How can you rotate the model about ...

Is there any way you can rotate a model about a particular axis?

place a datum coordinate in line with the axis you want to rotate about and set the angle.

if its for view orientation you can also go to 'view' 'orientation' 'reorient' then under


type select 'dynamic orient' and adjust the 'spin'

If for view orientation you can also set the spin center to axis under Preferences and then go to dynamic orient and spin about the spin center selecting the coordinate direction that lines up with the axis (seems like it's always X).
