Hi everyone
I'm a new user of Windchill but have some experience using ProE and Intralink.
My problem is as follows as was hoping someone had a similiar problem in the past and will be able to assist me:
We have in the past created assemblies(say A) which consist of multiple parts (say 1 and 2). These parts were manafactured and assembledinhouse. We are now buying the assembled part A from a supplier. When we however orderour mainproduct, winchill only recognizes that we shouldproduce(or in this case order) 1 and 2 and have them assembled, when we in factonly buy in one part A.
Should we change the part number of A and replace the old assembly with a new one?Can we somehow change part A to a reference part which shows windchill that we only need to order part A? Or some other solution I can't think of?!?!
Any help would be appreciated
Gyver
