Incorrect toolpath for ball-cutters

Hi,

I am using standard "Play path" to see tool path.
It works ok with usual tools.
If I load a modeled ball-tool from tool library (which is modeled with holder) by reference or by copy, I get incorrect tool path.

How it can be fixed?

You did not mention what version ProE you are using. However since WF3 ProNC supports the use of lollypop cutters. The results of both solid and parameter modelsare the same.

in your solid model, set up a parameter called: tool_type


set type to "string"


set value to: ball mill--- do NOT have an underscore between the word ball and mill


also, be sure to have "corner_radius" defined in the properties of the dimension in your solid model

Also make sure you have a csys defined in the solid model and name it TIP
