Spring

How to make SPRING from Variable Section Sweep Tool. Because I didn't find it even in the tutorials of the Pro-e.

This brings back memories of when back in the 90's I offered a class for the PTC CEP certification. Certified Pro/ENGINEER users. I can't even remember what CEP stands for now.

Its all about syntax when forcing a vss tool to follow a graph or an equation.

sd5=.1*cos(trajpar*360*12) < this equation can be used to drive a variable in a VSS tool to oscillate or simulate amplitude to crate a wave spring.

sd3=evalgraph('graph1',trajpar*100) < this type of equation can be used with a graph feature to drive a similar described ribbon VSS to vary the angle of a sweep from 2 degrees on one side to 10 degrees on another. The graph feature would have 2 on one side and 10 on the other and this equation ties that graph a relation in the sketch of the section inside the section of the VSS.

Search 'graph feature' or 'trajpar variable' in Google and this website's search engine.

By the way this is one reason hi-end Pro/E users laugh at solidworks tool.
