Student Pro E to Mastercam

I have the student version of Pro E. When I try to use Mastercam to open a file created in the student Pro E Wildfire 3.0 it says that the file doesn't contain any geometry. What does this mean? Is it possible to use Mastercam to open a student Pro E file?

hmmmm student version is meant for students!!!...not for commercial use...!!!. That may be the reason why PTC has restricted it (i.e. if at all it is restricted).


a work around....


export to igs or stl or any other neutral file formats.... I think this should work.

I'm new at this. Do I need a special program to export to a neutral file format?

File --> save a copy..choose File type.. (you can get a list of file types)...


Also check out as to which file types are supported by the CAM software.
