number of digits displayed in a table

Hello all,

ifItype&d1[.6] in a cell of a table on a drawing I would expect it to post the value of the dimension and round or trunk the value to 6 decimal places. it doesn't. On my drawing it posts the dim value to three places with [.6] next to it. any suggestions.

the dim in the part is 13 digits long.

WF2 build m240.

My assumption was that it would work for a driven dimension, but you know what happens wehn assumptions are made.

Ido not want to change the propertiesof the driving dimension as that would change the geometry. I just want to display the first six of the thirteen digits of a dim. Isthere an easy way to pull that off?

Create a paratermeter and show that in the table.

In relation: DIM_FOR_TABLE = D1

Add DIM_FOR_TABLE in family table (this will be driven).

Then in the drawing, add DIM_FOR_TABLE in place of dim D1.
