Is there a way to control the objects in ProI to make sure they are created in the correct version?<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

We are a consultant company using ProE 2001, ProE WF AND ProE WF2 and have to make sure no user start the wrong version of ProE and mix up versions in ProI. Due to different customers requirement different version on ProE will be used in the projects.

Perhaps you can use modelcheck to check version before save. If you have a parameter call project, With this parameter you can get modelcheck to use different configurations files. The same way as if units was mm or inch.

And it you first start using modelcheck youi will find more interesting tining to check and this way helping the user not to forget somthing from your cad standard

Peter,

Modelcheck is probably a nice tool but requires quite some work to setup and a license to use.

Maybe its enough just to create a parameter in Intralink with values defining different ProE versions.

Parameter "ProE_version"

Values list: "2001", "WF", "WF2". Default value should be "-" or "NOT SET" if they forget to set it before checkin.

Kindly,
Matt

Modelcheck is today in the basic license (Foundation adv.)

It is correct it take some time to setup if you want to make a lot of cehcks. But perhaps just start with removing all checks and only add a few. It will make the work more easy, and not a lot of confused users.
