Recently i installed Catia V5 R16 on a laptop. Whenever the user uses Catia, if he leaves his PC idle for only a few minutes, it goes straight to standby mode. This only happens when he uses Catia and not any other application.

you must use sp3 and turn of your anty virus .if your pc have virus to struggle to clean them
