Autofit given dimension

This is the first time I post a topic here.I've been using BMX to evaluate the weight by mass of my bottle designs. I do this by making first a suface shape of a bottle then I offset the surface to give me an inside cavity. After which I solidify the outside surface and remove the material of the inside cavity.

I just want to know the value of the givendimension when you use autofit in offset surface instead of normal fit. In normal fit the value of thedimension is the unifrom offset distance, ex.3 mm thick, from all sides (hust like shell). Is the given dimension in autofit the average offset distance or is it the minimum or maximun?

I use autofit because sometimes normal fit fails because of the shape. I need this so I can determine the wall thickness of the bottle.
