read out of datum point coordinates

Hi,

I am wondering if someone could help! I imported an iges file into a part. The iges file contains circles and I need the coordinates of the center of the circle. I managed to add a datum point to the center. However I cannot read out the datum point coordinates using the analysis/geometry/point command. It seems this command works only if the point is on a curve.

I would appreciate any comment.

To be honest I am not sure about your question. In the same file I created hundreds of other points and managed to get their coordinates. Only the center points do not work this way. The iges file is a Faro-arm output and this is a reverse engineering job.

This I something like a workaround

If you added datum point you can add also datum plane. Than you can
draw something on that datum plane
