2D Drawing - changing template

AlanP

New member
I have create a drawing of a modelled component on an A3 sheet.
At the start of this process I opted to use an A3 template that I had
previuosly created which includes the border, company logo, detail
boxes, etc. I now realise that, with all the dimensions, there is
not enough room on the A3 sheet and an A2 would be better. I am
able to change the sheet format, but how do I change the template
without having to start my drawing again?

right click

click inside the format box

it will ask you if you want to keep any table info

r= remove all k= keep all or y/n = individual boxes

Megaladon.

Thank you for your quick reply.

The instructions that you give allow me to change the format of the
template, but does not change the custom border, etc, that I
created. Could it be that I have set things up incorrectly to
start with? Should my custom border be contained with in the
format file?

When I start a new drawing I always select the 'Use template' option in
the 'New drawing' dialogue box. It is these templates that
contain my borders.

The format should contain the border, tables, logo, etc. The template should specify the format, default views, etc.
