Help With Different Versions

Hi,



I am a student and I just started getting introduced to Pro/E for
mechanical design I class. In the class, I believe they use the student
edition. I just got ahold of the commercial version on my computer. My
problem is that I can't open files I created in class on my computer,
or vise versa. Is there a way of importing or converting the files
because of the different Pro/E versions? Any help is appreciated and
I'm sorry if this question has been asked/answered before, I am new to
this program and forum.

You may want to ask this question in a different forum. This one is specifically for the PTC APIs.

You can not convert between the two. That's the basic answer.


To be totally accurate, PTC can convert from student to commercial but not the other way around, but then you have to send the files in to let them do it. I do not know if there is a fee involved.


Anyway, take the first line as a rule and get the same version on all machines.
