Hi all,





Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a copy of the student edition or personal edition - it is $299


I cant afford this so if anyone knows anything helpful.

yeah, 300 bucks. Solidworks is under 100.

Solidworks expires after 24 months though, ProE doesn't. Granted, after 24 months it will probably be ready to be upgraded anyway.

You also get a far better FEA package in the form of mechanica, and a full set of top- down design tools, which aren't included in the commercialfoundation advantage package!

It's a good tool to have and almost a nessisity if you want to learn
Proe but I have always felt that 300 bucks for a package only good is
to pock around and learn on is well, I don't know. Seems a little high,
the product has it's own market to pay the bills why charge so much to
just add lines of code to make it useless for commercial use.

if that is still too much i think i have a copy of wildfire 1.0SE (outdated and buggy if i remember but if desperate prob a good starter) on the shelf id let go cheap unless its illegal to do so. then ill have to charge more

you could find the whole program on some or the other p2p program and save 300 bucks......
