Dual Dimenion in part modeling

ruban

New member
When we edit(modify) any feature in a proe model, the dimenions of the feature are highlighted in the screen. while displaying so i would like the dimenions to appear as Dual dim ie both in mm & inch. can anyone tell me is there a way to do it. pls suggest.

Yes, there are several "drawing options" that control this. To get to the options, right-click anywhere on the screen that is blank, and pick "properties". Pick "Drawing Options" from the "File Properties" dialog box.

Scroll down to the "These options control dimensions" catagory. You will find the options starting with the word "DUAL". The most common ones that are used are:

DUAL_DIMENSIONING -Must be set to ON for any of these options to be available.

DUAL_DIGITS_DIFF - Sets the difference in number of digits freom the default. (ex: If set to "-1" and digits are normally 3, the metric digits will be 2 places.

DUAL_DIMENSION_BRACKETS - Will put the secondary dimension in brackets if set to YES.

In 3D however, u can not.

You select-one- principal system of units. U can switch between (convert), but not use/see both at the same time.
