Installing ProE-Isolate the install?

ethridged

New member
Im
currently installing Proe and iLink and another user said I should
seperate the install folders on my second disk to isolate them from the
rest of the running apps on drive C.

We have very large (satellite) files that may also build up the data folder for ilink.

In either case this user thinks isolating Proe and iLink from the rest
of the running functions of the winXP C drive will run it smoother and
quicker.

My take is that it will run on C drive fine under program files folder or custom install folder under C drive.

Help...I need to quench this unknown.

I was also advised by our software reseller to not install to the default dir but to install to a sub directory under C:\PTC\. And to install any other ptc softwre under that same"PTC" directory. That was with 2001 I have since installed WF1, WF2, and WF3 preproduction the same way.
