Hi all,

I am new to Pro/Cabling. Could anybody help me learning this.

I have some online help tools. But i have no tutorial. so i am confused where to start and what to do.

It would be great if you could give me a link to any tutorial/help.

Thanks in advance

Not an advertisement, but I learned what I know about cabling from
www.frotime.com. Honestly, I really like the "hold your hand"
style tutorials for things like cabling (that are very different from
other modules). Good luck, and if you have any specific
questions, I'll try to help.

can you please provide me those videos urgently.. i need to them..

the frotime tutorials do not show a correct methodology and fall short on many fronts. They could use a revamp I suppose.

1. they don't show how to create nail board drawings.
2. they do not show the top down methodology required to make a harness in assembly mode. Plus the examples used hold the harnesses and wires captive to sheetmetal compoenents. And that would mean the sheetmetal boxes used in the examples would be a part of the harness. A little mix up i guess and can be overlooked yet still confusing for beginners. And that captive sheetmetal box can't flatten into a harness nail board drawing.
3. The tutorials do not share the XML import that the military and major manufactures want and is in such big demand. The RSD and Pro/CABLE work flow is the work flow that pays the 80+ per hour by the way. Not the route wires by hand methodology.

I bought them years ago too. Sorry I could not keep my mouth shut any longer. ;)

Hey.. the links are not working.. could you give me
another link?? or do you have any tutorials for
pro/cabling???

I overwrote my conn_pin-out.tbl that I have in my Repeat Region folder. Can anyone email me a new one?

Two Questions....

1 What are the Repeat region for a Connector Table?
PIN CALL OUT - CONDUCTOR WIRE NAME - SPOOL COLOR are

harn.spool.color
harn.run.conductor.to.pin.name

2. How do I update the connector to the specific table?
I thought it was Model/Rep that would let me make that association but Pro/E wants to retrieve from the Drive as opposed to selecting the connector in the flattened harness.

Okay... I answered my own post. Model/Rep works like I remember when I added the harn.run.conductor.to.pin.name or because I addeed mbr.conn.prm.pin.name
