<DIV>Hi Guys,</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>My customer is sent me 4 STEP files of 4 assemblies</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Iimported using"asan assembly" option inPro/e.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>The assemblies import mostly ok....BUT:</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>(1) Some components are miss-assembled</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>and(2) one had some "strange" geometry</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I then tried importing the STEPs as "part" files....this tended to be worse: bits all over the place. And they were massive - one filewas 48 MB</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I've manage to re-assemble them with mixed results. (fortunately I don't needmost ofgeometry)</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>
<DIV>My questions:</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>a)Is there a "quick fix" for imported assemblies?</DIV>
<DIV>b)Should assemblies be imported as individual parts (i.e rather than a single STEP file of an assembly - ask forSTEPs ofindividual parts)</DIV>
<DIV>c) Which formatis better for importing from Ideas....STEP or IGS?</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>Thanks in advance</DIV>
