your question is very vague. list any specific issue. however, you can create curves in lot of ways. easiest would be sketch a curve which would be obviously 2d. you can chose points or vertices to create 3d curves, can chose edges of solid/surface geometry tocreate curves (either splines or curves with bend radii).
