best practices

I'm just starting out in pro-e as an NC programmer. We have 3 different departments:


Engineering: designs the models


Tool design: designs the fixtures and tooling


Programming: programs the part.


At present only engineering has been using PRO-e the rest has been using an older 2d system. Everyone has to start using PRO-E.


Wondering if it would be best if Tool design makes the manufacturing assembly,then the programmers use it?


Any imput would be helpful.

I think u r not getting results from Pro E!!. Its so simple after design the model design a tool for the part and the manufacturing dept can make own mfg files its not so difficult.
