Hi all post gurus,

i've been working on this post for a week. There are still a couple of things i can't get done. i'm really in need of some help here.

first problem,if i have 2 or more tools in the program i need to have the tool called out again at the safety line before tool change.

Second problem, i need a M29 and the RPM posted out in a line right above theG84. This is for rigid tapping. please refer to the file below.

Thank you in advance.

Good Morning pronc,

It is a little hard to give you any help if we do not know what system you are using to create post processors. I am going to assume it is G-Post. If it is then for your first question, you will need to create a custom macro for the toolchange using FIL. In it you will need to have a variable that captured the last tool number, recall it, and then place it where you need it. As for your second question, you will need to create a custom macro for your rigid tapping. You can accomplish what you need by putting an insert statement before the cycle call and merge the spindle statement with it.

Sorry I could not be more specific. I am no longer using ProE
smiley19.gif
. So I do not have the reference manuals to give you exacly what you need. Also, there is a web site just for ProNC and post processors on the PTC web site. If you have a current maintenance agreement you can access it. Here is the link. Good luck!

Hi pronc,

As Cristopher stated, your question needs to include whether you're
using G Post or Pro/NCPost. I'm an "old timer" who's using Pro/
NCPost, and (if I do say so myself) am quite good at it. I'd be happy
to help you if this is what you're using, but I'm sorry to say I can't
help you if G Post is your flavor...

Thank you guys. Francois Flamy(PTC product line manager) jumped in and helped on this one and much much more. He is a great knowledgable manager. by the way this is for Gpost. tahnks.
