modifying a part in an assembly file (wildfire)

I am a fresher in Wildfire. How can I modify a part in an assembly file in Wildfire?? The process in pro/e 2001 is....feature_modify_mod part........and then at the right bottom of the screen a message appears that the particular part is activate.
