Publishing Error in ProductView

Hacks

New member
Guru's,

Not sure where to post this but decided DM was most appropriate. I have a drawing file with the following make-up:

A 3 sheet drawing that uses 5 sheetmetal models (3 folded generics and 2 flat instances) and has the following warning when opening in Pro (but it does open, no Fail. Diag.):

WARNING: Some constraint relations are no longer satisfied in 29486_1_FLAT.

I'm getting the following message when trying to publish this same drawing in PV:

4/26/2004 4:36:45 PM: Status report begins at: 4/26/2004 4:36:45 PM

4/26/2004 4:37:22 PM: Status report ends at 4/26/2004 4:37:22 PM

However, the assembly model publishes with no problems.

Ironically enough, the previous rev and version of this drawing

is a 9 sheet drawing that uses 11 sheetmetal models (6 folded generics and 5 flat instances) has the following warnings when opening in (but it does open, no Fail. Diag.) and it does publish in PV:

WARNING: 1-sided edges in 29486_1.PRT; regen to avoid failure of Xsecs & new feats.

Geometry needed to orient the general view main_view, on sheet 5, is missing.

What does this mean in Pro:

WARNING: Some constraint relations are no longer satisfied in 29486_1_FLAT.

Any other ideas?

Hacks,

Well, the constraint relations error is just that..you should open 29486_1_flat.prt and go into Relations and try to verify the relations. If you're on 2001, I recommend setting:

new_relations_ui yes. If there is a syntax error or something, it will show up there.

As for the worker failure, it may or may not be related. As you can see from the start time and crash time, (4:37:22) the worker is failing in 30 secs, so I doubt that the crash is related to the relation (ha-ha), because it would need to regenerate a bit to see that problem. Of course, it depends on the horsepower of the publisher pc.

I assume you've set up PV before, so it isn't a timeout setting or something of the sort. Sometimes this can be caused by too many log files .... try deleting all the local .proi.log.xx and trail.txt.xx files. Then either reboot the machine or stop and re-start the Division Collaboration Services through the Control Panel>Services icon. Browse to the EDS/admin page and see that everything is up and running and a worker is running before trying to publish again.
