Expert Moldbase

Can you change the moldbase size, plate thickness, manufacturer, type, and still maintain all references (assembly cut intersections, component references, surface copies in plates, views and dimensions in drawings)?

Yes, I use to work in this way ... BUT not with PTC mould base library. I will tell you why ...

In Pro/Mouldbase, which is maded by some third-party company's I found ... core & cavity plates are the same, is just mirror placement in assembly. For this reason I maded myself my assembly for blank mould base, every dimension such as, size and thickness is driven by parameters. The components are comming later on the assembly (pins, bushing, etc.).

In this case, I can easy change any size, without problems to loose some references.

Anyway I can write more on email, if it's help you.

regards,

Adrian
