quick question about saving models..

I'm in the process of backing up lots of models... Can I just back up the assembly files or do I have to back up each part individually.

thanks,
nate

My suggestion for backing-up files to a new directory is to use "Pack and Go" (File --> Pack and Go). There is an option to include drawings. Just select the directory you wish to back-up to, and rename if necessary.

<ul>[*]To rename a file to be saved, double-click the file in the Save to Name column. The file name extension must match the source file's extension.[/list]"Pack and Go" also works for assembly and associated drawings, not just part files.

Be careful with using Pack and Go with drawings. I tried this using 2009SP3 and it hung my machine twice. Without the drawings selected it did the job in a minute.
