2 Sheetmetal parts, one part drawing?

Yes it is.

In VIEW PALETTE, click BROWSE TO SELECT A PART (ASSEMBLY) button. Then, find your part and... that's all. The VIEW PALETTE must show all the views for the new part.

Good luck !

What I'm trying to say is, when I'm drawing a single part (on a "part" screen), and I don't won't to make an assembly of the two sheetmetal parts. Once you establish a base of a sheetmetal part, it won't let you draw another sheetmetal part on the part unlees it's connected to the base. Here's what I'm trying to do without having to make it an assembly.

Because it will want to flatten the part, it is not going to allow that. SolidWorks cannot deal with that level of complexity. (As far as I know, anyone who knows better please correct me.) If you can create it as a solid and then not need the flattened layout, you should be able to do that.
