extrude this out to the thickness you require and then make a cut of .1mm on the perpindicular plane and cut it in half? keep both bodies when the dialogue comes up, no need the split operation once you have two bodies use Insert- Features - save bodies and you can specify an assembly name it will assemble the parts for you in an assembly window.
