How do I remove curvature lines....

Ok, so here is a simple question with a complicated description.

I am working on a 3D model of a jet airplane fuselage that is imported data (catia native i believe). Since the model is composed of several surfaces (fuselage is built of sheet metal panels) there are several surface edge lines when you view the model in "shaded with edges" format. All of the edges show up as well when I translate the 3D model to a 2D drawing.

So my question is: Is it possible to show the model in the 2D drawing so that it's format is "hidden lines removed" but only shows the part as a silohette vs. all the edge lines?

Here is a link to a photo that illustrates a little better:

I want to get rid of all the lines for the panels, but keep the silohette of the plane and the lines for the windows, text, etc.

Is this possible?

Willie,

I am using 2008 now so I am not sure of the exact method in your
version but what you want to do is HIDE it.

In 2008 it is as simple as clicking on the line so it is highlighted, Right
Click and select Hide.

If you are not using 2008 try searching for HIDE command in the online
help.

That also works in SW2007. Have you tried hiding tangent lines in the drawing (I don't think you can do that in the model).
