hi, every SWlovers, i 've got a question about assembly, when we insert a new part to the model, does it make ANY DIFFERENCE

if we choose the exact site by defining xyz for its origin and then setthis new partto be FIXED

or

if we find the exact position for it by making several marry-ups

cheers!

swstudy,
If your assembly will NEVER be changed then go ahead and use the FIXED command.
I only use the fixed command as a last resort.
I would generally mate the part or sub-assembly since as in the real world most things are subject to change.

thanks, ridein.

Well, my model is asmall car and it is supposed to move in the simulation, is it true that then i can not use the FIXED way or else it would not be able to move? like the wheel will not be able to rotate ....?
