want to make 8 splines in a bolt head.(solidworks 2007)
i made the cutout i want to pattern
i can select the cutout i want to pattern, but how can i select/find/set the rotation
axle?
You can select the "temporary" axis by going to the "View" drop down menu and turning temp axis on. I would suggest you make your initial spline cut with your sketch and then do a circular pattern that feature. For whatever reason SW works better that way than patterning sketch entities and then doing a feature cut.
