Help with sweep and loft

Hello All:


I am still new to solidworks, so this may be a dumb question. I was wondering if there is a tool, or procedure, where you can setup different cross sections of a piece, as is the foundation for the loft tool, but have those cross sections laid out on a guide curve, such as in the sweep tool.

create different planes where you can create different shape to loft, perpendicular to that planes create another plane - create the guide curve dont forget to pierce and thats it.
