save sldprt as earlier version

I have a model that was created in 2007. Is there a way I can save it to an earlier version (2006) so that I can view the model? I don't want to import a dumb solid as I want to make parametric changes in the 2006 version.

Thanks.

cadman323,

It can't be done, SW2007 isn't backward compatible. You'll have to save it as an IGES, STEP, Parasolid or the like and loose the history. You can try using FeatureWorks though when you bring the model into SW2006 which can re-create some of the features.

Good Luck

Yes it is true, u can only bring the model as IGES, STEP and try using Featureworks, & if your model has only basic simple features like Extrude, Revolve, then featureworks can map it back to the features.
