Split entities problem

Gps!

New member
I am trying to make some frame work.

To do this I spilt a line, with the (sketch) split entities fuction.

Then I want the split lines all to be the same length.

So I select them all and add relation equal.

That when the sh*t hits the solidworks fan.

Adding the equal relation, makes the (total) line longer (often)

Ignores some of the points I added.(also often)

Sometimes it works right. What am I doing wrong ?

( Or how do I devide a line segment into 12 equal lines ?)

A solution is (I hope) to draw 12 colinear lines. The next line beghin at the end of the previous. Select all lines and add relation EQUAL. After that make the distance between the begin of the first line and the end of the last line how large you need.

If you need a certain direction use a CONSTRUCTION LINE and align your 12 segments with it.
