smart fasteners

I have been inserting fasteners in slots one at a time by mating the correct surfaces. does any one have a better way? The smart fasteners seems to ignore slots, and dropping the parts in place puts them at the end of the slots which usually doesn't line up with the hole in the next piece of metal.

Yes solidworks have the functionality what you asked for, you can see this in Insert\component pattern\feature driven in Assembly mode.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

It works on this condition that the holes should be a patterned (linier, rectangular, sketched) .
