unfold a model

I was wondering if it's possible to unfold a model in SW 2004? A cube would be a good example or a pyramid? Is there any functionality for this?

Just to move this post up on the list, I , too , am interested in this possibility. I am a metal shaper, and this would be great for pattern making.

It is a great option, it saves you doing the math for how much material that you need after creating all your bends.

using SW2006 to unfold sheet metal parts.

The part has to be modelled with corners "broken" etc.
so that unfolding can be achieved in single straight bends.
Insert / sheetmetal / bends.
pick a face and ok.
Then to unfold the model, unsuppress the "flat-pattern" feature that was just created.
hope this helps.
cheers
