3D sketch extrude

Hello everyone!

This is my first post on the forum so hi to all. Well I use Solidworks a little to make stainless steel safety rail pictures for my work. I need to know only a little to do this, Up until know I have just used 2d sketches to extrude like a box for example. But now I need to make a curved box so I used 3d sketch instead. After finishing it I go to extrude but it tells me I need to specify a direction for a 3D sketch, With a 2D sketch you just ticked the box in direction 1 or 2 and it would just do it, But that does not work for 3D sketch. So how do I specify a direction for a 3D sketch?

Thanks you

Hello,

Welkom to the forum.

You can determine the direction by one of the plane. Pick the one that is (about )90degrees on your sketch.

Kind regards
