Need help making a simple screw

Hi everyone,


I want to make a screw... i simple one! i will attach an image (hope it will work),
and also hear 2 pictures of a screw just to be clear about what i am talking about,,,

1. extrude your root diameter for as long as you need it from the front plane.
2. draw a circle on the end of the shaft as large as you want the threads to be in its own sketch and exit the sketch.
3. highlight the sketch. go to insert, curve, helix.
4. here you set the pitch and distance of the threads. there are a lot of different ways you can configure your helix. just play with it until you find what works for you. Just make sure that you have the beginning of the helix set to 0 or 90 degrees.
5. insert a sketch on the top or right plane (whichever one touches the end point of your helix) and draw the cross-section of your thread making sure that it is a closed profile that has an end point that touches the helix. it also needs to extend to the shaft that was modeled earlier to make it a single body.
6. sweep the cross-section of the thread along the helix.
