2006 to 2005

No you can't.


You can solve this problem by exporting from SW2006 to Iges or Step and then import the file in SW2005. But why??

Try "save as" and select file type.

You did not mention what you plan to do with the file but if you need to
modify it after importing it you can try using Featureworks.

I can't remember if it is available in 2005 but after importing the STEP or
IGES as mentioned above, use Featureworks to try and recover the model
tree.

You may have to load it under addins as I do not think it loads by default.
