ship’s funnel

i have only drawn in 2d- radan & autocad, but now have solidworks.
I'm looking to draw an arrangement of 16 sheet metal panels to form a "ship's funnel" arrangement ( with a sloping top edge: 20 mm gap between each panel). i've tried a couple of approaches but keep being stumped by unfathomable error messages (in solidworks)- how would you do this in solidworks? i'd like to flattern the top panels for manufacture & hope solidworks will help avoid the long hand.

i've been using solidworks for about 2 days. can i draw all 16 panels as a part on one screen the split them?

cheers

i have found my answer.

draw a solid block which includes where the panel edges will be- extrude to suit.

add new part in the assembly level of the solid block.

use "convert entities" to copy the top & bottom of the panel edge onto the new part.

open the new part & loft between the line in sheet metal.

note when drawing the block square edges are needed for the sheet metal function to work.

i bet nobody reads this now as i posted it months ago!
